What is Moast?
Moast is a pair of Shopify-native apps. The original product is a shoppable-video widget that puts existing Reels, TikToks and customer videos onto product pages, with a free-forever tier and a $15/month Pro tier. The newer product, Moast Collect, launched 23 July 2026 per its Shopify App Store listing and is a gifting-only creator marketplace: a brand lists a product, creators apply, the brand approves individuals, and Shopify generates a $0 draft order that ships the product to them; the creator films a video in return and receives no cash. Moast charges a flat $49/month for unlimited Collect campaigns, creators and videos, and states the brand's only other cost is the product itself and the shipping. A third page, moast.io/ugc-for-shopify, advertises done-for-you 'UGC Videos Starting at $74' under Moast branding; a sibling page discloses this is a partnership with Influee, reached through a MOAST promo code, not Moast's own creator network. Moast's own pages claim 500+ hand-vetted creators, 5,000+ Shopify merchants, $150M+ revenue generated and a 3.5x average conversion lift; all are the vendor's figures and none is independently verified.
What can Moast do?
Gifting-only creator sourcing
Brands pay creators in product rather than cash. The /collect FAQ states: 'Never. Creators are paid in product, never cash. That's the entire model.'
Flat-fee campaign pricing
$49/month buys unlimited Collect campaigns, creators and videos, with no per-creator or per-video fee, per the vendor's FAQ on moast.io/collect.
Creator targeting and manual approval
A campaign targets creators by gender, age range and specialism (the Shopify listing also lists location and interests). Creators apply; the brand approves or declines each one and can see their profile, past-campaign merchant rating and recent social posts.
Shopify-native fulfilment
Approving a creator creates a $0 draft order in the brand's Shopify admin with the shipping address prefilled; the brand fulfils it with its normal setup and tracking syncs back to both sides.
Manual creator vetting
Moast states creators are vetted by hand, must record an introduction video before review, and are rejected if their social account is private or missing. The '500+ vetted creators' figure on /collect is Moast's own claim and is not third-party verified.
Shoppable video widget (separate app)
A second Shopify app renders carousel, stories, featured-video, grid and pop-up widgets from uploaded video or imported Reels/TikToks, with product tagging and view/click/add-to-cart analytics. Its App Store listing carries Shopify's 'Built for Shopify' badge; the Collect listing does not.
Assets saved to your own Shopify Files
Approved Collect videos are written into the brand's Shopify Files, which Moast frames as content living in the store rather than on a platform the brand could lose access to.
Creator-side programme
Creators join via the 'Moast Collective' page, which states no follower minimum and no personal brand is required, and that product is free to keep whether or not a video is used.
Use cases
- Shopify DTC brands with a low-cost, shippable physical product who want video volume without per-video creator fees
- Brands already running, or willing to add, Moast's shoppable-video widget on their product pages
- Teams testing creative angles cheaply — one merchant review on the Collect listing describes it as 'a low cost content acquisition play and a way to test creative angles without paying huge creator fees'
- Brands that want usage rights bundled into the subscription and the finished files stored in their own Shopify account
- Small teams that want creator fulfilment to run through their existing Shopify shipping setup rather than a separate logistics flow
Look elsewhere if
- Any brand not on Shopify — there is no standalone web app or other platform integration
- High-ticket or thin-margin products, where shipping enough gifted units costs more than buying videos outright from a per-video marketplace
- Brands that need a specific named creator, a scripted hook, or an ad-quality edit — there is no paid tier or managed service to buy up to within Collect itself; Moast routes that demand to Influee
- Brands buying for reach rather than asset volume — Moast's own comparison table positions its creators as 'everyday people' against 'full-time influencers'
- Buyers who need contractual proof of usage rights before running content as paid media; the promise is marketing copy and the public terms do not cover video licensing
- Campaigns that depend on a guaranteed turnaround — as of 2026-09-20 we found no delivery SLA for Collect videos on the Collect page or the Terms
- Brands needing documented creator coverage in specific countries — as of 2026-09-20 we found no statement of where its creators are based on the pages listed under sources
Moast pros and cons
Pros
- First Moast Collect campaign is free and the widget app has a free-forever tier, so a brand can test with zero platform spend
- Flat $49/month covers unlimited campaigns, creators and videos with no per-video or per-creator fee — a different cost shape from per-video marketplaces
- No cash payment to creators; the only variable cost is the brand's own goods and shipping
- Brand approves each applicant individually and can see the creator's past-campaign merchant rating before deciding
- Fulfilment runs as a $0 Shopify draft order with tracking synced back, so it stays inside the store's existing ops
- Approved videos are written into the brand's own Shopify Files rather than held in a vendor library
- Widget app holds 5.0 from 335 reviews on the Shopify App Store, 98% of them five-star, and carries Shopify's 'Built for Shopify' badge — both read on the listing 2026-09-20
Cons
- Shopify-only — both apps install into Shopify admin, with no route for WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Amazon sellers or non-ecommerce buyers
- Gifting-only removes the budget lever: there is no paid tier to buy a stronger creator, and the most detailed merchant review on the Collect listing ends 'You won't get the reach with these creators though'
- Moast's own /collect page quotes that same merchant review but stops the quotation exactly one sentence early, dropping the 'You won't get the reach' caveat — verified by comparing the quote on moast.io/collect against the full review on apps.shopify.com/moast-collect-ugc on 2026-09-20
- Creator pool is small and vendor-claimed — '500+ vetted creators' appears only on Moast's own pages with no third-party verification, and Moast's own /ugc-for-shopify page advertises a '93k+ creators worldwide' pool that turns out to belong to Influee, not to Moast
- Moast Collect launched 23 July 2026 per its Shopify listing and carries 11 reviews, so there is almost no independent track record for the marketplace half
- The publicly linked Terms & Conditions (app.moast.io/legal/terms) were last updated 8 May 2022 and describe a different, earlier product — an in-person 'product experience' service in which HOSTS 'receive monetary compensation'. Nothing in the public terms covers video, licensing or the perpetual usage rights the marketing promises
- No delivery SLA is published: /collect does not state how long an approved creator has to film, how long videos take to arrive, or what recourse a brand has if a creator keeps the product and never delivers. The creator-facing page promises 'every campaign comes with an upfront timeline', but no timeline figure appears anywhere public
- Creator supply depends on Moast's outbound email — the Moast Collective page says a self-serve dashboard where creators browse open campaigns is still being built ('more on that soon')
- Confusing naming: 'Collect' is both a widget feature bundled into the $15/month Pro plan (collecting content from your own customers) and the separate $49/month creator marketplace app
- The pricing page claims 'Free forever or $15 a month, never more' while the vendor simultaneously sells a $49/month product — a buyer reading only /pricing will underestimate the cost
- A nav-linked page, /ugc-for-shopify, advertises '$74' UGC videos and '93k+ creators worldwide' in Moast's own voice without naming a supplier; only the separate /ugc-influee page discloses the service is Influee's, sold through a MOAST promo code. The same page also quotes two different entry prices, '$74' and '$100 per video'
- No independent review profile could be verified — g2.com, trustpilot.com, capterra.com and producthunt.com all returned 403 to us on 2026-09-20, so the only review evidence is on the Shopify App Store and it covers the apps, not the creator experience

Read first-party on 2026-09-20; every URL in sources returned 200 today. Moast's prices are spread across three pages. moast.io/pricing covers only the shoppable-video widget ($0 and $15/month). The Moast Collect marketplace rate card ($0 for 30 days, then $49/month) is on moast.io/collect. A third page, moast.io/ugc-for-shopify — linked from the main nav as 'Get High-Impact UGC' — advertises done-for-you 'UGC Videos Starting at $74'. Neither moast.io page offers an annual option; the $165/year Pro price appears only on the Shopify App Store listing (apps.shopify.com/moast-interactive-ugc), shown as a secondary line under a $15/month headline, not as a struck-through monthly figure. Both Shopify listings state 'All charges are billed in USD. Recurring and usage-based charges are billed every 30 days.' CONTRADICTION 1: moast.io/pricing headlines 'Free forever or $15 a month, never more' and its FAQ states 'The most you'll ever pay is $15/month on our Pro plan' — contradicted by the vendor's own $49/month Collect Growth plan on moast.io/collect. CONTRADICTION 2: moast.io/pricing lists 'Unlimited video uploads' on the Free widget plan, while the Shopify App Store listing for the same Free Forever plan caps it at 'Up to 10 videos per widget'. CONTRADICTION 3: moast.io/collect presents the free tier as '$0 for 30 days', a time-boxed offer, while the Collect Shopify listing shows it as 'Free Campaign — Free — 1 product campaign' with no time limit and places the '30-day free trial' under the paid Growth tier instead. CONTRADICTION 4: moast.io/ugc-for-shopify quotes two different entry prices in its own body — the hero reads 'UGC Videos Starting at $74' while the process section reads 'starting at just $100 per video'. That same page advertises '93k+ creators worldwide' without naming a supplier; the sibling page moast.io/ugc-influee discloses that the service is Influee's, reached via promo code MOAST, so the $74 price and the 93k pool belong to a different vendor that this directory lists separately. Costs outside the subscription: the brand pays for every gifted product and its shipping, fulfilled as a $0 draft order in its own Shopify admin. Usage rights are promised in marketing copy on /collect but are not covered by the publicly linked Terms & Conditions (app.moast.io/legal/terms), which were last updated 8 May 2022 and describe an unrelated earlier product.

- Turnaround
- No video delivery SLA published. Moast states a campaign is live 'six minutes from install' and that 'creators start applying the day you launch' (moast.io/collect); it does not say how long approved videos take to come back. The creator-facing moast.io/moast-collective page promises 'every campaign comes with an upfront timeline', but no timeline figure is published.
- Min. spend
- $0 to start — the widget app has a free-forever tier and the first Moast Collect campaign is free. After that, $49/month for Collect Growth and/or $15/month for widget Pro, plus the brand's own cost of goods and shipping on every gifted unit.
- Usage rights
- As stated on moast.io/collect: 'Full usage rights with no time limit and no licensing fee: product pages, your site, organic social, paid ads, email', with approved videos saved into the brand's own Shopify Files; the Shopify listing repeats 'Unlimited videos, full usage rights'. This appears only in marketing copy — the publicly linked Terms & Conditions at app.moast.io/legal/terms (last updated 8 May 2022) do not mention video, licensing or usage rights at all.
Frequently asked questions
Two prices for two products, on two pages. The shoppable-video widget is $0/month on the Free forever plan or $15/month on Pro (moast.io/pricing); the Shopify App Store listing also offers Pro at $165/year. Moast Collect, the creator marketplace, is free for one campaign and then $49/month for unlimited campaigns, creators and videos (moast.io/collect). On top of the subscription the brand pays for the gifted product and its shipping. A third Moast page quotes '$74' videos, but that is a referral to Influee rather than a Moast plan.
No cash. Moast's FAQ states creators are paid in product only: 'Never. Creators are paid in product, never cash. That's the entire model and it's written into the terms they agree to.' The creator-facing Moast Collective page repeats that there is no payment and that the product is the creator's to keep either way. The creator agreement being referred to is not among the terms Moast publishes on its site.
Moast's /collect page says yes — 'Full usage rights with no time limit and no licensing fee', covering product pages, your site, organic social, paid ads and email, with files saved into your own Shopify Files. That promise appears only in marketing copy: the Terms & Conditions linked from the site footer were last updated in May 2022 and cover an earlier, unrelated Moast product, with no mention of video licensing.
The /collect page shows a Free tier at '$0 for 30 days' covering one campaign with unlimited creators and videos. The app's Shopify App Store listing describes the same tier differently, as 'Free Campaign — 1 product campaign' with no time limit stated, and puts a 30-day free trial on the paid Growth plan instead. Either way you still pay for the product you gift and its shipping.
moast.io/ugc-for-shopify, linked from Moast's main nav as 'Get High-Impact UGC', advertises 'UGC Videos Starting at $74' and '93k+ creators worldwide' with a Moast quote form. A separate Moast page, /ugc-influee, discloses that this is a partnership with Influee and links to dashboard.influee.co/signup with promo code MOAST for 30% off a first month. So the $74 price and the 93k creator pool are Influee's, not Moast's. The /ugc-for-shopify page also contradicts itself, saying 'starting at $74' in its hero and 'starting at just $100 per video' further down.
No. Both the shoppable-video widget and Moast Collect are distributed as Shopify apps that install into Shopify admin, and the gifting flow depends on Shopify draft orders for fulfilment. There is no non-Shopify option documented.
Moast claims 500+ hand-vetted creators on its /collect page and says each must record an introduction video before review, with private or missing social accounts rejected. That count is the vendor's own and we found no third-party verification of it. The marketplace app itself went live on 23 July 2026, so the network is new. The larger '93k+ creators' figure elsewhere on Moast's site refers to Influee's network, not Moast's.
