JoinBrands is a creator marketplace that connects e-commerce brands with a large network of UGC creators and influencers for photos, videos, TikTok Shop lives, and affiliate promotions. It serves Amazon sellers, TikTok Shop sellers, DTC brands, and agencies, letting brands set their own per-job creator fee on top of a free or subscription plan. Its differentiator is very low entry pricing (videos from ~$25 plus platform fee) combined with TikTok Spark Codes, Instagram Partnership Ad codes, and escrow payments built in.

  1. Creator marketplace

Claims access to roughly 4 million creators across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Amazon, and dedicated UGC specialists.

  2. TikTok Shop integration

Supports TikTok Shop campaigns including Spark Codes and $1/minute TikTok Shop live streams.

  3. Unlimited usage rights included

Purchased content comes with unlimited usage rights plus TikTok Spark Codes and Instagram Partnership Ad codes at no extra cost.

  4. Detailed creator targeting

Filter creators by niche, location, demographics, and platform when building campaigns.

  5. Escrow payments

Creator payments are held in escrow and released on delivery, with direct brand-creator chat.

  6. Performance analytics

Tracks views, likes, conversions, and GMV for influencer and affiliate campaigns.

  7. Agency and white-label tools

Max plan adds white-label links, custom watermarks, and up to 10 team seats for agencies.

  • Amazon and TikTok Shop sellers who need high volumes of cheap product UGC
  • DTC brands testing UGC ads on a small budget via the free pay-as-you-go plan
  • Agencies wanting white-label delivery and multi-seat campaign management (Max plan)
  • Brands running TikTok affiliate/live-shopping campaigns with performance tracking

Look elsewhere if

  • Brands needing guaranteed premium production quality — a managed service or vetted boutique platform offers more control
  • One-off buyers who want refundable orders or heavy negotiation with individual creators
  • Teams that need verified enterprise-grade software reviews — JoinBrands has almost no G2/Capterra footprint

Pros

  • Very low entry cost: no subscription required and UGC videos starting around $25-60 plus 8-15% platform fee
  • Unlimited usage rights, Spark Codes, and Instagram Partnership Ad codes included in content price
  • Strong Trustpilot rating (4.5/5) with reviewers praising responsive support and reliable creator payouts
  • Deep TikTok Shop and Amazon seller focus, including $1/minute TikTok Shop lives
  • Fast typical delivery — creators must upload images within 5 days and videos within 10 days of receiving product

Cons

  • Quality is variable since brands set low per-job fees and have limited control over creator quality (EcomCrew review)
  • One Trustpilot brand reviewer reported spending $900 with zero usable content produced
  • Content packages are non-refundable and negotiation flexibility with creators is restricted
  • Some creators report slow or unresponsive support on account/approval issues (Trustpilot 1-2 star reviews)
  • Best platform-fee rate (8%) requires a $499/mo Max subscription
7.2/10Buy JoinBrands if you can review content inside ten days and want permanent content rights at a published price; skip it if you need refundability, more than one revision round, or creators outside five countries.

Built from JoinBrands’s published pricing and terms, third-party review patterns, and public buyer reports — not from a paid hands-on test. Every price and quoted term was checked on 2026-09-03.

TL;DR: JoinBrands' pricing page lists UGC videos at "$25+" (verified 2026-09-03). Its own help center sets the minimum price for a classic UGC video job at $50 and pre-fills the builder at $60. The rights you get are genuinely strong and cost nothing extra. The money terms are not: subscriptions, Blast packages and extra content are all non-refundable, and job refunds land in your JoinBrands account balance rather than on your card.

JoinBrands is a creator marketplace. You post a campaign, creators apply or you invite them, you ship or reimburse a product, and the creator uploads a vertical video with a TikTok Spark code attached — within 10 days of receiving the product, per JoinBrands' published delivery window. It has run since 2021 out of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Its homepage does not agree with itself on scale. The header reads "Trusted by 100,000+ brands"; the testimonials section further down the same page reads "Trusted by 30K+ Brands" (both verified 2026-09-03). It also claims "4 Million Creators." We report all three as marketing claims, not as verified counts.

Search "JoinBrands review" and the first page is dominated by blogs run by competing UGC platforms — Influee, Influencer Hero, Hubfluence and Hyred all rank for the term, most positioning their own product as the alternative — alongside affiliate-monetised ecommerce blogs. We do not sell UGC and we are not a reseller for any platform on this site.

This page does what none of those do. It quotes the documents you actually agree to, with links and a verification date, and reconciles them against what buyers and creators say in public.

How We Verified This

We have not paid for a JoinBrands video, and nothing here is presented as first-hand testing. Instead we read the contract and the help center and checked both against public review data. Four layers of evidence, all verified 2026-09-03:

  1. Primary contract. The JoinBrands Terms of Service (opens in a new tab), including the Brand Agreement at §3.4.1 and the Creator Agreement at §3.4.2. The page carries no effective or last-revised date, which is itself worth knowing.
  2. Official pricing page. joinbrands.com/pricing (opens in a new tab), read as a full feature-comparison grid rather than a headline number.
  3. Official help center. Articles on help.joinbrands.com covering refunds, revisions, job timers, campaign price floors, delivery methods, Blast packages and wallets. Nine are quoted and linked below, each carrying its own published update date.
  4. Public review corpora. Trustpilot (opens in a new tab) (283 reviews) read for distribution and reviewer type, not for the star average, plus one practitioner thread on r/ecommerce.

Where a fact could not be confirmed, we say so instead of filling the gap. Two such gaps are labeled below.

Is JoinBrands Really $25 a Video?

No. The pricing page lists "UGC Videos $25+" across all four plans, but the help center article Campaign pricing, defaults and minimums per type (opens in a new tab) (updated 2 June 2026) states the US default is $60 and the floor is $50. Every classic video job is at least double the advertised entry price.

The floor rule is published verbatim: "the minimum is min(default, $50) in your marketplace's currency." Social campaigns on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and Amazon pre-fill at US$100. Full-length YouTube pre-fills at US$150. TikTok Shop Live pre-fills at US$50, and all of those carry a $50 floor.

Images work the same way. The pricing page says "$10+"; the help center sets floors of $15 for a selfie with product, $20 for a product demo photo, and $25 for lifestyle or product-only.

The one path that reaches the advertised numbers is bundle pricing. Blast Campaigns (opens in a new tab) start "from $9 / per post," and a 100-post TikTok pack works out to "$25.00 per TikTok (37.5% discount)." So the pricing page floors are real, but only if you commit to 100 posts up front on a package that "can't be refunded once purchased."

Three more multipliers sit on top of the base rate, all quoted from the same article:

  • Creator level. Targeting Level 2 adds +50% to a basic UGC video, Level 3 adds +100%. Newer formats like Green Screen and B-Roll go to +150% at Level 3. Images ladder +30% and +60%.
  • Video duration. "baseline 15s, 30s +10%, 60s +20%, 180s+ +50%."
  • Platform fee. 8% to 15% depending on plan, applied on top of what the creator earns.

This single correction matters because most of the SERP is repeating either the 2023 rate card or the marketing floor. Neither describes what the campaign builder charges you today. Our UGC platform pricing page tracks these floors across the category.

What Does JoinBrands' Fine Print Actually Say?

Two things stand out. The intellectual property terms are better than most of the category and cost nothing extra. The refund terms are among the tightest we have read. The table below quotes each clause exactly, with its source and update date.

Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to JoinBrands must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises."ToS §15, Miscellaneous (opens in a new tab)

Read the IP rows twice, because they are the strongest reason to use JoinBrands. A full transfer on payment, unlimited usage rights stated on the pricing page, and Spark Ad codes plus Instagram Partnership Ad codes at no extra charge is better than the twelve-month licenses common elsewhere in this category.

Two clauses we flag rather than judge. The AI-training sentence in §3.4.2 is unusually broad and appears nowhere in JoinBrands' marketing. The Unpurchased Content license means content you declined, showing your logo, can appear in JoinBrands' own advertising in perpetuity.

Two things we could not confirm. JoinBrands publishes no arbitration clause or class-action waiver that we could locate, so we assume none exists rather than assert it. And the ToS carries no effective date while stating that changes are "effective immediately upon either posting of the modified Agreement or notifying you," which means the version you agreed to may not be the version you are reading.

What Does the Free Plan Actually Take Away?

More than the marketing suggests. The Free plan is not a smaller version of the paid product. It is structurally downgraded on the three things that determine whether you end up with a usable video: revision count, output resolution, and your ability to rescue a late job. Every row but the last comes from the pricing page (opens in a new tab) grid, verified 2026-09-03; the break-even row is our own calculation and is explained under the table.

Break-even creator spend/mon/a$2,300$4,180$4,986

One revision, no deadline extension, and a ten-day auto-approval timer is a tight combination. If the first cut misses the brief, you reject once. If the second cut also misses, the content is yours at full price. The Extend your Jobs Deadline (opens in a new tab) article states plainly that the feature "is available on our upgraded Subscription Plans," so a Free-plan buyer facing a late creator can only cancel or wait.

The break-even row is ours, not JoinBrands'. It answers the question the pricing page avoids: at what monthly creator spend does a subscription pay for itself in fee savings plus credits? Working from Free's 15% baseline, Start-up pays off at roughly $2,300 a month in creator payments, Pro at $4,180, and Max at $4,986. Compared directly against Pro, Max only wins above roughly $7,000 a month. Annual billing at "-10% off" shifts each threshold down by about a tenth.

Credits complicate this. Roll Over Cash accumulates and does not expire while you pay, and the Promo Wallet (opens in a new tab) spends before your regular wallet or card automatically. But "If your subscription ends, any remaining Promo Wallet coins will be removed." Accumulated credits are a switching cost, not an asset.

What Do JoinBrands Buyers and Creators Complain About?

Brands complain about three things: paying and getting nothing usable, being auto-approved into content they rejected once, and being refused refunds. Creators complain about verification limbo and shrinking job flow. Those are two different populations with two different grievances, and the headline rating hides the split.

JoinBrands holds 4.5/5 across 283 Trustpilot reviews, with 82% five-star and 6% one-star (verified 2026-09-03). The average is the least useful number on the page, because the two star bands are populated by two different populations rating two different products.

We sampled the first page of each filter on 2026-09-03. Among 5-star reviews, roughly 18 of 20 were creators describing job discovery, payouts and support response. Among 1- and 2-star reviews, roughly 14 of 20 were brands. That is a sample, not a census, and we did not read all 283. But it means a 4.5 TrustScore should not be read as buyer satisfaction.

What follows are complaint themes clustered from public reviews. These are third-party reports rather than our findings, and we have not quantified frequency. Each one maps onto a specific clause quoted above.

"I paid and got nothing usable." The most repeated brand-side theme. A July 2026 one-star reviewer describes "a $900 bill... and zero content produced." A December 2025 reviewer writes "£600 down the drain." Others report paying and never receiving a video. The relevant policy is that job refunds only exist after Late Status and only when you cancel the job yourself.

"One rejection, then it auto-approved." Two separate one-star reviews, from March and June 2024, name this exact mechanic: "You can only reject content once" and "auto approve process... useless content." This is not a support failure. It is the Free plan's 1-revision cap meeting the 10-day auto-approval timer, both published policy.

"They refused to refund me." A November 2025 reviewer describes creating a campaign, trying to cancel, and being refused. A December 2024 reviewer reports ordering ten videos, finding all of them unusable, and being told it was non-refundable. Both outcomes are what the Refund Policy specifies.

Creator-side: approval limbo and job flow. Multiple creators report accounts stuck in verification for months with no support reply. Others report that job availability fell after they leveled up. For a buyer, these matter as leading indicators. If experienced creators receive fewer jobs and newer ones churn, the pool you draw from skews toward Level 1, which is exactly where quality variance lives.

Worth noting for context: brands discussing this category on r/ecommerce (opens in a new tab) anchor their expectations around $50 to $110 per video, a range we could not independently re-verify on 2026-09-03 and so treat as indicative rather than sourced. JoinBrands' real floor of $50 and default of $60 sits inside that band, which is a point in its favor once you ignore the $25 headline.

What Does a JoinBrands Video Really Cost?

Around $164 per usable video on the Free plan, against a $25 sticker. Below is the arithmetic for a realistic first campaign, with every line marked QUOTED (official document), ESTIMATED (our assumption, stated so you can change it), or UNCLEAR.

Scenario: 12 product-review videos ordered to end up with 10 usable ones. US marketplace, Level 1 creators, 30-second runtime, reimbursement delivery, $25 product, Free plan, paid by card.

Line itemAmountBasis
Base rate, 12 × US$60$720QUOTED. Builder default for a UGC video, US

All-in$1,644.23
At 12 of 12 usable$137 / video
At 10 of 12 usable$164 / usable videoESTIMATED adoption rate

Adoption rate moves the answer more than any other variable, and it is the one nobody else models. On the Free plan you get one revision per job, so the adoption rate is partly set by your subscription tier rather than by creator skill.

Two levers change this materially. Targeting Level 2 creators adds 50% to the base rate but should raise adoption. Upgrading to Start-up doubles your revisions and unlocks 4K, but only pays for itself in hard fee savings above roughly $2,300 a month in creator payments. Below that, the subscription is buying you revision headroom, not discount. You can model your own numbers with our UGC rate calculator.

Compared with the rest of the category, this is competitive. JoinBrands at least publishes a rate card. Billo redirects its pricing URL to a login screen, and a brand-side poster on r/adops (opens in a new tab) reports being asked for a $5,000 deposit on top of $200 per video, a figure we could not independently verify. See the head-to-head in Billo vs JoinBrands.

Who Should Not Buy JoinBrands?

Six buyer profiles should look elsewhere, and every reason below is contractual rather than aesthetic. This is the section every competing page omits.

You cannot review deliverables within ten days. Content auto-approves when the timer expires, and chat feedback does not stop it. Teams with legal review, seasonal staffing gaps, or a single overloaded marketing manager will pay for content they never accepted.

Your creative process needs more than one revision round and you want to stay free. One rejection per job on Pay-as-you-go is a hard number, and creators are "only required to make changes that match the original job requirements." Regulated categories and technical products routinely exceed that. Budget for Start-up or higher, or price the failures in.

You sell outside the US, Canada, the UK, Australia or Germany. JoinBrands operates five marketplaces. TikTok Shop Video and TikTok Shop Live are US-only. There is no route to native-language creators in Southern Europe, Latin America, the Nordics or Southeast Asia. Influee covers more European languages.

You need refundability more than you need a low unit price. Subscriptions, Blast packages and extra content are all final. Job refunds exist only after Late Status, only on your own cancellation, and land in your JoinBrands balance rather than on your card. If a stranded balance would hurt, that is a real liability.

You want to buy volume but might change creative direction. Blast is where the advertised $25 and $9 per-post prices actually live, and a Blast package "can't be refunded once purchased." It also strips your creator filters: you "can't filter creators by Gender, Age, or Ethnicity" on Blast.

You are an agency spending under $7,000 a month on creators. The Max plan at $499 only beats Pro at $299 above roughly that threshold. Buy Max for white-label links, custom watermarks and ten seats if you need them. Do not buy it expecting the 8% fee to pay for it.

Final Verdict

7.2 / 10. JoinBrands is one of the few marketplaces in this category that publishes a real rate card, and the rights you get are excellent: full transfer on payment, unlimited usage, Spark and Partnership Ad codes at no extra cost. Escrow, published job timers and a documented refund path put it ahead of platforms that hide pricing behind a login.

The deductions are specific and verifiable. The advertised $25 video floor is contradicted by a $50 minimum in JoinBrands' own help center. Every subscription, Blast package and extra-content purchase is final. Refunds return to an account balance, not a card. And the Free plan that everyone recommends as a risk-free entry point is the tier most likely to produce the "I paid and got nothing usable" outcome, because one revision plus a ten-day auto-approval is a thin safety net.

Buy it if you sell in one of the five supported markets, can review content promptly, and want permanent worldwide rights at a published price. Skip it if your budget cannot absorb a non-refundable order, or your creative needs several rounds before it is ad-ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a JoinBrands video actually cost? The pricing page says "$25+," but the help center sets the floor for a classic UGC video job at $50 and pre-fills the builder at $60 in the US (verified 2026-09-03). Add 8% to 15% platform fee, product cost, 10% US sales tax on reimbursement, and 3.5% if you pay by card.

Is JoinBrands refundable? Rarely. Subscriptions, Blast packages and extra content are all non-refundable per the Refund Policy (opens in a new tab). Individual jobs can be cancelled once they reach Late Status, and only when you cancel them yourself. The money is "credited back to your account," not to your card.

How many revisions does JoinBrands include? One per job on the free Pay-as-you-go plan, two on Start-up, three on Pro, ten on Max. Creators are only obliged to fix things that were in the original brief. Anything you add afterward is optional for them.

Who owns JoinBrands content after purchase? You do. ToS §3.4.1 states that "upon full payment for the Creator's Content, all rights to such Creator's Content shall be transferred by Creator to you," and the pricing page confirms unlimited usage rights with no separate licensing fee.

What happens if I do not review the content in time? It is approved automatically. Brands get a 10-day window and "if the job timer runs out, consider it automatically approved." Feedback sent through chat does not pause that clock; only a formal rejection does.

Does the 4.5 Trustpilot score reflect brand satisfaction? Not straightforwardly. Sampling the first page of each filter on 2026-09-03, roughly 18 of 20 five-star reviews came from creators, while roughly 14 of 20 one- and two-star reviews came from brands. Read the score as a two-sided average, not a buyer verdict.

Listed content prices ($10+ images, $25+ videos, $1/min TikTok Shop lives) are floors — brands set the creator fee (typically $25-60/video per third-party reviews) and a platform fee of 8-15% is added on top. You also cover the product cost/reimbursement. Third-party reviews note non-refundable content packages and a per-creator job fee on pay-as-you-go. Free trial not advertised; the Free plan itself is the no-cost entry point. Roll Over Cash credits only offset creator payments while subscribed.
