Modash is influencer-marketing software run by Modash OU, with a Tallinn, Estonia registered office and a Toronto office listed in the site footer. Brands search an open, non-opt-in index of public Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profiles above 1K followers, manage creators in a CRM, email them from a synced Gmail/Outlook inbox, collect their posts and metrics without the creator signing up for anything, and pay them across 180+ countries. Its homepage FAQ states Modash is 'a platform only' - 'not an agency (we don't run campaigns for you)' and 'not a marketplace (creators don't browse and apply to work with you)'. The same FAQ says non-Shopify brands still get 'discovery, management, tracking, and payments', while gifting, affiliate programs and automatic sales tracking are unlocked by the Shopify integration. Modash claims 2,600+ in-house teams as customers. Its own pages quote the index size as both 350M+ and 380M+ creator profiles.

  1. Open (non-opt-in) creator index

Search public Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profiles above 1K followers. Modash's /data page calls it an 'open network creator database' that lists 'all influencers who post publicly', with opt-out by emailing privacy@modash.io. Vendor states the index size as 380M+ profiles on the pricing card, /data and the API page, and 350M+ in the homepage FAQ and one pricing-page feature row.

  2. Content and metrics tracking without creator sign-up

Per the pricing page, Track is 'an automatic content collector and metrics tracker for your campaigns'. It captures sponsored posts by tag, mention or keyword, or all content with no tags required, and the page states creators get discovered 'without signing up or doing anything', with 'no re-authentication' and no uploading of screenshots, links or performance reports.

  3. Content download

Pricing page: 'Download all creator content, including posts, Reels, Stories from Instagram, and all content from TikTok & YouTube.' This is collection only - the words licence, usage rights, rights clearance and whitelisting do not appear anywhere on the pricing, homepage or payments pages.

  4. Creator payouts in 180+ countries

The /influencer-payments page says 'Modash as vendor of record. We handle international tax obligations and regulatory compliance liability across 180+ countries', creators 'auto-generate compliant invoices', and payments go out in 36 currencies. The pricing page adds 'Secure bank account payments - Ensure payment delivery (1-3 business days)'. Brands track a payment balance in Modash and settle one consolidated invoice; creators 'receive the full payout amount approved by the brand' with no Modash commission deducted.

  5. Shopify-gated gifting, affiliates and sales attribution

The pricing page groups product gifting, offer links, discount codes, attribution links, affiliate links and automatic conversion/sales tracking under '(Shopify)' headings. Affiliate settings shown: percentage or fixed commission tiers, 7-365 day hold period (default 30), 30-day attribution window, $50 minimum payout customizable per brand. The FAQ says the integration is 'included free with your Modash plan' and needs an active Shopify store.

  6. Creator CRM and synced inbox

Lists, statuses, labels, notes, rates, custom columns, bulk actions and CSV export, plus Gmail/Outlook two-way sync so outreach comes from the brand's own mailbox. Sequences, templates with personalization variables, team inbox, email analytics, and '100 personalized emails per day' in bulk.

  7. Published creator-data APIs

Discovery API (credit-metered, 'Starts at $16,200' yearly) and Raw API (billed per request, 'Starts at $10,000' yearly) expose search, AI search, influencer and audience reports, brand-collaboration data and lookalikes programmatically. Annual contracts only, bank transfer only, no pay-as-you-go; a third 'Enterprise' API tier is priced 'Starts at Custom'.

  8. Vetting and compliance checks

Audience insights by location, demographics, interests and quality; 37 discovery filters; image search; lookalikes; brand-collab history; alerts when a creator misses a required hashtag, mention or keyword; and an ad-disclosure compliance check. The /data page says machine-learning models derive growth rate, engagement rate and number of fake followers from public data.

  • In-house ecommerce teams on Shopify running gifting, affiliate and paid-partnership programs from one tool instead of a spreadsheet plus a separate affiliate app
  • Programs where creators will not install or log into anything — discovery and tracking work off public posts
  • Brands paying many creators across borders who want invoicing, tax handling and a single consolidated invoice for finance
  • Buyers who want to see a price and self-serve a trial before ever talking to sales
  • Developers and agencies needing programmatic creator data, since both APIs carry published annual floors

Look elsewhere if

  • Brands that need UGC produced and rights-cleared - Modash finds, tracks and pays creators but does not produce content and grants no licence
  • Non-Shopify stores (WooCommerce, headless, Amazon-only), since gifting, affiliate links and automatic sales tracking are all grouped under the Shopify integration
  • Small or one-off budgets - the floor is $299/mo before any creator spend, where per-video marketplaces in this directory start under $100
  • Teams that want creators to browse and apply to briefs; the homepage FAQ states Modash is 'not a marketplace (creators don't browse and apply to work with you)'
  • High-volume cold outreach at the entry tier - Essentials unlocks 150 creator emails per month, and the FAQ says unlocks are capped deliberately 'to protect influencers from receiving exploitative offers and spam'

Pros

  • Unusually complete public pricing for this category: two self-serve tiers, a published Enterprise floor ($14,700/year) and list prices for both APIs ($10,000 and $16,200/year), where the other influencer platforms in this directory publish little or nothing
  • 14-day free trial with no credit card, and the trial's limits are stated up front (20 profile views, 6 email unlocks, 10 tracked creators)
  • Tracking does not depend on creator cooperation - Modash collects posts and metrics from public profiles, so creators never sign up, re-authenticate or upload screenshots
  • A month-to-month option exists at every self-serve tier, so annual billing is a discount rather than a requirement
  • Payouts are handled end to end - vendor of record, invoice generation, tax compliance, 180+ countries, 36 currencies - and the pricing FAQ states creators receive the full approved amount with no Modash commission deducted
  • Open, non-opt-in index rather than a roster creators have to join, so small creators who never sign up to networks are still searchable

Cons

  • The pricing page's default render shows '$199' with 'Monthly' beside it while the real $299 month-to-month rate sits behind a toggle (CSS display:none in the page's own stylesheet); Modash's own Shopify App Store listing says 'From $299/month' while its homepage FAQ says 'starting at $199/month'
  • The discount badges do not match the prices beside them - modash.io/pricing shows '-25%' and '-14%' where the printed figures give 33% and 17% (the numbers Modash itself uses on its Shopify listing)
  • Every headline number is a floor: 'Starts at' plus 'Price goes up based on usage', so the quoted price is not what a scaled program pays, and Enterprise is quote-only above its $14,700 floor
  • Usage caps are tight for the price - $299/mo buys 300 opened profiles and 150 email unlocks per month plus 100 tracked creators at any one time; the FAQ's answer to going over is to upgrade or ask for a custom plan
  • No usage rights of any kind. Modash lets you download creator content but clears nothing; ToS 8.1 only addresses IP where Modash Payments is used, and leaves it 'as agreed under the applicable campaign terms' between brand and creator
  • Affiliate management and fee-free payouts appear to be annual-only despite being listed on the Performance card - the pricing FAQ restricts them to 'Performance Annual and Enterprise plans'
  • Much of the product is Shopify-gated: gifting, affiliate links, discount codes and automatic sales tracking sit under '(Shopify)' headings, and the homepage FAQ tells non-Shopify brands they get discovery, management, tracking and payments
  • 'Cancel anytime' is qualified in the Terms: 7.3 makes subscriptions non-refundable with no credits for partial use, downgrades or unused features, and says a terminated monthly subscriber is 'still liable for a remaining unpaid period'
  • Modash's own pages disagree on the size of the index - 350M+ in the homepage FAQ and in one pricing-page feature row, 380M+ on the Essentials card, an adjacent pricing-page row, /data and the API page
  • No independent software-review score could be verified - G2, Capterra, Trustpilot and Product Hunt all returned 403 to this check

ANNUAL-PRICE TRAP - verified in the page source today: the Essentials card markup is <div class="essentials-plan-monthly">$299</div><div class="essentials-plan-annual">$199</div><div>Monthly</div>, and the page's stylesheet sets .essentials-plan-monthly{display:none} and .essentials-plan-annual{display:block}. So the figure that renders by default is $199, with the word 'Monthly' beside it and '$2,388 paid yearly' below; $299 only appears once the billing toggle is flipped. $2,388 / 12 = $199, so $199 is the annual-billed rate and $299 is the true month-to-month rate. Same pattern on Performance ($599 monthly, $499 annual, $5,988/yr). Modash's own pricing FAQ confirms the direction: 'Annual billing saves you $100/month on Essentials and Performance plans.' CONTRADICTION 1: Modash's homepage FAQ says 'We offer transparent, straightforward pricing starting at $199/month', while Modash's own Shopify App Store listing says 'From $299/month' and prices Essentials at '$299 / month or $2,388/year and save 33%'. CONTRADICTION 2: the discount badges on modash.io/pricing read '-25%' (Essentials) and '-14%' (Performance), but the figures printed beside them give 33.4% ($3,588 vs $2,388) and 16.7% ($7,188 vs $5,988) - which is what the Shopify listing says ('save 33%', 'save 17%'). The badges do not reconcile with the numbers next to them. CONTRADICTION 3: the Performance card lists Shopify 'Affiliate management (0% fee up to $10K/yr)' as included, but the pricing FAQ says 'Affiliates management is available in Performance Annual and Enterprise plans' and 'Annual Performance plans include $10,000 in fee-free payouts' - implying monthly-billed Performance gets neither. CONTRADICTION 4: the FAQ 'How do Modash Payments fees work?' opens 'Every plan includes a yearly fee-free payout limit' then lists limits only for Performance Annual and Enterprise; a separate FAQ says payout fees apply to 'Essential and Performance plans' although the Essentials card lists no Payments feature at all. CONTRADICTION 5: the pricing FAQ says 'You can cancel anytime. Monthly plans cancel immediately' and 'Do I have to commit to a full year? No, absolutely not', but Terms 7.3 says 'If your Subscription is terminated for any reason, you are still liable for a remaining unpaid period of your Subscription if your Subscription is purchased on a monthly basis', and Terms 12.1 says on cancelling 'you may be obligated to pay all charges due until the end of the Subscription'. CONTRADICTION 6: the /influencer-payments headline is 'The way to pay creators fast, with zero fees' with no qualifier; the sub-copy on the same page narrows it to 'Zero fees to creators. Creators get the full approved amount', and the brand still pays 5% above its plan's fee-free payout volume. AMBIGUITY: the 'Support' row that shows '2 months of onboarding support' and 'Dedicated Success Manager to help you every step of the way' appears on both the Essentials and Performance cards, and its two lines carry the class names essentials-plan-description-monthly and essentials-plan-description-annual - so they may be billing-cycle variants rather than two things you get together. The page does not say which. FLOORS, NOT PRICES: every headline number is prefixed 'Starts at' and the page states 'Price goes up based on usage', so real cost scales with opened profiles, email unlocks and tracked creators. Free trial is 14 days, no credit card, capped at 20 profile views, 6 email unlocks and 10 tracked creators. No setup or onboarding fees per the pricing FAQ. Credit card, or invoice/bank transfer on annual plans; VAT supported for EU customers. API pricing is published separately at /influencer-marketing-api/pricing and is annual-only, bank transfer only.

Turnaround
Not a content-production service - Modash finds, tracks and pays creators rather than delivering videos. Vendor-stated timings: creator bank payouts are delivered in 1-3 business days (pricing page), and the homepage says you can 'Switch to Modash for free, in under a week. Zero downtime.'
Min. spend
$299 for one month of Essentials on monthly billing, or $2,388 for a year; Enterprise starts at $14,700/year; API plans are annual-only from $10,000/year. Note Terms 7.3 says a terminated monthly subscriber remains liable for the remaining unpaid period, so 'one month' is the advertised commitment rather than a guaranteed cap.
Usage rights
None granted by Modash. Terms of Service section 8.1 (effective August 2026) covers only the case where Modash Payments is used: Modash 'purchases those creator services from the creator and separately supplies them to the Customer', and 'the Customer receives all intellectual property rights in the Creator Services as agreed under the applicable campaign terms', with the clause expressly noting this 'does not require Modash to acquire ownership of intellectual property rights'. Rights are therefore whatever the brand and creator agreed, and the Terms say nothing about IP where Modash Payments is not used. The pricing page offers content download ('Download all creator content, including posts, Reels, Stories from Instagram, and all content from TikTok & YouTube') but no licensing, rights-clearance or whitelisting language appears on the pricing, homepage or payments pages.
