What is Creatify?
Creatify is an AI video ad platform that converts product URLs into UGC-style marketing videos with AI avatars, auto-generated scripts, and synthesized voiceovers. It serves e-commerce brands, DTC companies, agencies, app and game marketers who need high volumes of ad creative for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snap, and Amazon. Its differentiator is scale: batch mode produces up to 50 ad variations at once, backed by 1,500+ AI actors and 75+ languages.
What can Creatify do?
URL-to-Video
Paste a product page URL and Creatify auto-generates a scripted, voiced UGC-style video ad.
AI Avatars
Library of 1,500+ AI actors on Pro, plus custom avatar creation, for realistic talking-head UGC ads.
Batch Mode
Generates up to 50 video ad variations at once for creative testing at scale.
AI Shorts
Creates TikTok-style short videos from a text prompt and a chosen visual style.
Performance Agent
Chat-based agent that analyzes ad performance data and suggests creative iterations (Pro plan).
Ad Cloner and Inspiration Library
Recreates winning ad formats and surfaces trending ads for reference.
Product Ads
Generates studio-quality product shots and animations without a physical photo shoot.
75+ Languages
Script generation and voiceover across 75+ languages for international campaigns.
Use Cases
- E-commerce and DTC brands that need high volumes of paid-social ad variations for creative testing
- Performance marketing agencies producing ads for many client SKUs on Meta/TikTok
- App and game marketers localizing ads across many languages quickly
- Solo founders who want UGC-style ads without hiring creators or editors
Look elsewhere if
- Brands that want authentic human creators filming real product usage (a UGC creator marketplace like Billo or Insense fits better)
- Teams needing precise editorial control or polished brand films (a human editor or pro video tool fits better)
- Very occasional users sensitive to expiring credits and subscription auto-renewal
Creatify pros and cons
Pros
- Very fast ad production: URL-to-video plus batch mode outputs dozens of variations without editing skills
- Strong G2 reception (4.8/5 across 1,700+ reviews) with consistent praise for ease of use and avatar realism
- Cheap entry point ($39/mo) versus hiring UGC creators or freelance editors per video
- Well-funded and actively developed ($23M total funding, $15.5M Series A in 2025, $9M ARR)
- Free plan lets you test output quality before paying (watermarked)
Cons
- Credit consumption is opaque; users report unexpectedly high credit costs per video with no upfront estimate (Trustpilot)
- Unused credits do not roll over, and reviewers report credits expiring without adequate notice
- Refund refusals and a multi-step, offer-laden cancellation flow are recurring Trustpilot complaints, with some reports of continued billing after cancellation
- Output quality is inconsistent: complaints of lip-sync issues, wrong voice/speed, and unusable takes that still consume credits
- Limited fine-grained editing control compared with a human editor or full video editor
Our Creatify review
Built from Creatify’s published pricing and terms, third-party review patterns, and public buyer reports — not from a paid hands-on test. Every price and quoted term was checked on 2026-09-03.
TL;DR: Creatify's help center states that credit consumption for its Agent, Ad Flow, and Ad Clone tools "is variable and cannot be determined upfront" (Creatify Help Center (opens in a new tab), verified 2026-09-03). That single sentence sits under the largest complaint cluster in the 16% one-star share on its Trustpilot profile. The basic Video Ad tool is priced clearly and cheaply. The agentic layer is not.
Verdict: 6.2 / 10
One-line summary: A cheap, high-volume ad-variation machine wrapped in a credit system whose most-promoted features have no published price.
Best for: Performance teams shipping 10 or more paid-social variations per month on the standard Video Ad or Avatar Video tools.
Not ideal for: Anyone buying annually, anyone who needs refund protection, anyone whose workflow depends on Agent or Ad Clone, and regulated advertisers.
Pricing: Free plan (10 credits, watermarked). Starter $39/mo for 100 credits. Pro $99/mo for 300 credits, sliding to 5,000. Enterprise custom (creatify.ai/pricing (opens in a new tab), verified 2026-09-03).
Key number: A 30-second ad costs 10 credits by Creatify's published rate. Named Trustpilot reviewers report single outputs consuming 48, 89, and 150-200 credits.
Creatify turns a product URL into a UGC-style video ad with an AI avatar, an auto-written script, and a synthetic voiceover. It competes with Arcads, HeyGen, and MakeUGC, and it is one of the better-funded names in the category.
Almost every page currently ranking for "creatify review" is Creatify's own site, a review aggregator, or a competing UGC vendor's blog. Several claim hands-on testing while showing no output, no invoice, and no policy text. This review takes the opposite approach.
How We Verified This
We do not run paid hands-on tests, and nothing here is written as if we did. We have never held a Creatify subscription. What we do instead is read the documents a buyer signs and the reviews a buyer can check, then date-stamp every claim so you can re-verify it yourself.
Four layers of evidence, in order of weight:
- Terms of record. Creatify's Terms of Service, refund policy, credit-usage article, moderation policy, and pricing page, quoted verbatim with permanent links and a verification date of 2026-09-03.
- Complaint patterns. Named, dated, publicly readable reviews on Trustpilot, clustered into failure modes rather than averaged into a score.
- A published cost model. Arithmetic built only from Creatify's own stated credit rates plus clearly labeled assumptions. Every line is tagged QUOTED or ESTIMATED.
- Disqualifiers. Buyer profiles the documented terms rule out.
We carry no Creatify affiliate link. That matters here, because Creatify's affiliate page offers "25% recurring commission for each qualifying subscribes" and adds that "when your monthly sales exceed $5,000, you'll earn an extra 5% commission" (creatify.ai/affiliate (opens in a new tab), verified 2026-09-03). A recurring 25-30% bounty is a reasonable explanation for why this search result is crowded with enthusiastic reviews and empty of contract language.
What does Creatify's fine print actually say?
Creatify publishes more of its billing rules than most competitors, which is to its credit. It also publishes a non-refundable clause, a two-month credit expiry, an annual-plan switching lock, and a rights-reversion clause that most buyers will never see. Here is the record.

You must immediately cease all use of the Assets and, upon request, return or destroy any copies" | Terms of Service §6.2 (opens in a new tab) | 2026-09-03 |
| License to Creatify | "a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, fully paid, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use… text prompts and images you input into the Services or Assets produced by the Services at your direction, or both, solely as necessary for Creatify (i) to provide, maintain, promote, and improve the Services, or (ii) to comply with applicable law and enforce Creatify policies" | Terms of Service §6.5 (opens in a new tab) | 2026-09-03 |
| Price changes | "Creatify may change its pricing at any time; for subscribers, price changes will take effect at the next renewal or thirty (30) days after notice" | Terms of Service §4 (opens in a new tab) | 2026-09-03 |
Three deserve emphasis.
The usage-rights claim is softer than it sounds. Creatify's public FAQ says "You own all of your creatives, even after your plan ends. You can use them in any channel without limitations" (Help Center FAQs (opens in a new tab), verified 2026-09-03). The Terms of Service say something narrower: ownership is conditioned on compliance, and a breach means rights "revert to Creatify" and you must destroy your copies. Those two sentences cannot both be operative. The contract governs.
The Terms of Service are dated "Effective date September 23, 2024." Nearly two years of product change, including the entire agentic feature set, has shipped under a contract that predates it.
The pricing page hides its own answers. Creatify's pricing page lists fifteen FAQ questions, including "Will unused credits be carried over to the next month?", "When can I cancel my plan?", and "What is the refund policy?" Only the first question's answer is present in the served HTML. The rest render as headings with no retrievable text. The answers exist, but they live in the help center, not on the page where money changes hands.
Why do Creatify's own documents contradict each other?
Creatify maintains at least four live contradictions between its pricing page, its FAQ article, and its credit-usage article, all verified on 2026-09-03. This is the single most useful thing a prospective buyer can know, because it means the number you plan around may not be the number you are billed.
| Question | Answer A | Answer B |
|---|---|---|
| Ad Clone cost | "Ad Clone takes 1 credits for every second of video length" (FAQs (opens in a new tab), dated May 11, 2026) | "Credit consumption is variable and cannot be determined upfront… AdClone redirects to the Agent tool and follows the same credit rules" (Credit Usage (opens in a new tab)) |
| Product Video cost (video, not image — the 1-credit image rate agrees) | "Product Video tool takes 1 credit to generate an image and 3 credits to generate a video" (FAQs (opens in a new tab)) | "Videos (Aurora Model): 5 credits per 15 seconds… Videos (Google VEO 3 Model): Maximum 8 seconds, flat 10 credits" (Credit Usage (opens in a new tab)) |
| Free plan credits | "The Free Plan includes 10 monthly credits" (pricing page (opens in a new tab)) | "on the free plan, you will receive 5 free credits every month" (FAQs (opens in a new tab)) |
| Language support | "75+ Languages" (pricing page (opens in a new tab)) | "Creatify supports 29 languages" (Supported languages (opens in a new tab) and FAQs (opens in a new tab)) |
There is also a product-continuity flag. The FAQ, last updated May 11, 2026, says "the AI Shorts, Product Video and Video Translation tools will be sunset at the end of May 2026 and will no longer be available on the dashboard." That date passed three months before this check, yet the credit-usage article still publishes live rates for two of the three — AI Shorts and Product Video — as of 2026-09-03. If you are buying for one of those tools, get written confirmation before you pay. The Captions to Mirage rebrand is the category's precedent for how fast a plan's contents can change.
How much does a shipped Creatify ad really cost?
Creatify's headline math is $0.39 per credit on Starter and $0.33 on Pro, which puts a 30-second ad at $3.90 or $3.30. That number only holds if the first render ships. Once you add one discarded take and one revision pass, the model below puts the credit cost of a usable ad at $10.14 on Starter and $8.58 on Pro, and far higher on the Agent tools.
Base rates, both QUOTED: Starter is $39 for 100 credits, Pro is $99 for 300 credits (pricing page (opens in a new tab)). Standard renders are 5 credits per 15 seconds, revisions 3 credits per 15 seconds (Credit Usage (opens in a new tab)).
Cost per shipped 30-second ad
| Line item | Starter | Pro | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| First render (30s) | 10 cr / $3.90 | 10 cr / $3.30 | QUOTED |
| One discarded take | 10 cr / $3.90 | 10 cr / $3.30 | ESTIMATED (assumes 1 unusable render per shipped ad) |
| One script revision | 6 cr / $2.34 | 6 cr / $1.98 | QUOTED rate; ESTIMATED count. Pro revisions are free only if script, avatar, and voice are unchanged |
| Credit subtotal | 26 cr / $10.14 | 26 cr / $8.58 | |
| Operator review time | $7.50 | $7.50 | ESTIMATED (15 min at $30/hr) |
| All-in per shipped ad | $17.64 | $16.08 |
That reprices the plans. Starter's 100 credits fund roughly 3 to 4 shipped ads a month under this model, not the 10 the headline rate implies. Pro's 300 credits fund roughly 11.
Two costs sit outside the table. Credits are "valid for two months," so anything unused past that window is spent money with no output, and cancellation moves you to the free plan, stranding whatever balance remains.
The Agent path has no published price
This is where the model breaks, and Creatify says so itself. For Agent, Ad Flow, and Ad Clone, "credit consumption is variable and cannot be determined upfront." The free-plan article (opens in a new tab) is blunter: "10 credits is not enough to complete a full video with either tool as both consume significantly more credits in a single session" (verified 2026-09-03).
Named Trustpilot reviewers report what "significantly more" means in practice. John Bown (US, May 28, 2026): "Generating one short, rigid 15-second AI video cost me 89 credits out of nowhere!" Eman Elgammal (FI, May 30, 2026): "it took 48 credits to create the video." Steve P (AU, Aug 20, 2026): "The pricing page states that you need ~2-20 credits for a video ad when in fact 150-200 credits doesnt even give you a usable result." Ivanna (UA, Aug 29, 2026): "The Agent took 40 tokens out of 100 without delivering anything close to the draft." These are REPORTED figures, not measurements we made.
At Starter's $0.39 per credit, the 48 to 200 credits those reviewers describe burning costs $18.72 to $78.00 — and Steve P's 150-200 credits, on his account, produced nothing usable at all. Brand-side posters in r/ecommerce (opens in a new tab) anchor human UGC video at roughly $50 to $110 each. If your Agent burn lands at the top of the reported range, the cost advantage over a real creator on a marketplace like Billo narrows to almost nothing. See our UGC platform pricing comparison and the rate calculator for the cross-category math.
One more disclosure gap: the pricing page advertises "SAVE UP TO 50% ON ANNUAL PLAN" but no annual dollar figure for any tier appears anywhere in the served HTML. The one price on that page a visitor cannot see is $999, carried as the Enterprise offer inside the schema.org Product markup next to the monthly $39 and $99, with no billing period attached to any of them, while the visible Enterprise card reads "Let's talk!" (verified 2026-09-03).
What are people actually complaining about?
Creatify's Trustpilot profile sits at 3.9/5 across 825 reviews, with 78% five-star and 16% one-star (Trustpilot (opens in a new tab), verified 2026-09-03). A 16% one-star tail on a profile that size is not noise. It clusters into four repeatable failure modes.
1. Credit burn far above the published rate
The largest cluster. Beyond the figures above, Christopher Benz (IE, Aug 2, 2026) writes that "it costs nearly 10usd for a 5 second clip," and Luke Nugent (AU, May 24, 2026) that "the entire basic plan can make an entire 1.5 videos for the month." Dave McLachlan (US, Jul 28, 2026): "they stole money from me by removing credits, and I can prove it." The mechanism is documented by Creatify itself: the agentic tools have no upfront price.
2. Cancellation and billing friction
Sean K (AU, Aug 17, 2026): "Unsubscribing is extremely difficult making you go through page after page with offers." David Neisinger (DE, Jul 13, 2026): "They dont let you cancel, an error message is generated when trying to cancel." Peter Szabo (AE, Jun 29, 2026): "They keep billing me $300/mo and haven't cancelled in months." Creatify's stated policy is that you may cancel at any time through your account or by email, so these reports describe execution, not policy.
3. Refunds, and what asking for one actually gets you
This cluster is thinner than the others, and it is worth saying so. The clearest named case is Marco Maurelli (DE, Aug 31, 2026), who after a failed 200-credit run reports that "after asking for reimbursement, they just gave me a list to get the credits back, which takes half an hour to fill out." That describes a burdensome credit-recovery process, not a flat refusal. What is not in doubt is the term itself: the Terms of Service say payments are non-refundable except where required by law, so a buyer expecting cash back is expecting something the contract does not offer.
4. Output defects that still consume credits
Steve L (AU, Sep 3, 2026) reports a generated video with "a truck driving down a highway…REVERSING down the highway." Daniel Kuryło (PL, Aug 27, 2026) reports "The app is mixing Polish with other slovak languages…UNUSABLE." Because failed renders still draw credits, output defects are a billing problem as much as a quality one.
Attribution note: every quote above is a publicly readable third-party review on Trustpilot, reproduced as evidence of sentiment patterns. They are user allegations, not findings we independently confirmed.
Why is Creatify 4.8 on G2 and 3.9 on Trustpilot?
Creatify's G2 listing shows 4.8/5 with 93% five-star and 1% one-star. Its Trustpilot profile shows 3.9/5 with 78% five-star and 16% one-star. That is a wide gap for one product in one period, and it is the most common reason a buyer ends up with the wrong expectation.
Some of the gap is structural. G2 verifies business identity and skews toward users recruited through vendor review campaigns; Trustpilot skews toward self-motivated posting, which over-samples billing disputes. Counts also disagree by source. G2's own listing showed 1,702 reviews at 4.8 in the Internet Archive capture of 2026-08-25 (opens in a new tab), which is where every G2 figure in this review comes from — G2 blocks direct requests with an HTTP 403. Creatify's own pricing page, meanwhile, embeds schema.org markup declaring "ratingValue": 4.8, "ratingCount": 1517: 185 reviews short of G2's own count, on the vendor's own page.
There is also an unresolved allegation. Julie Jensen (US, Jun 9, 2026) writes on Trustpilot that she received "an offer of a 'free' block of 100 credits in exchange for leaving a five-star review." We found no independent corroboration and no vendor response, so this remains a single user's claim. We flag it only because a reader comparing a 4.8 to a 3.9 deserves to know the claim exists.
The practical takeaway: weight the two scores by what they measure. G2 is telling you the tool works for people who got it working. Trustpilot is telling you what happens when it does not.
Who should not buy Creatify?
Four buyer profiles are ruled out by the documented terms, not by taste. This section is the one most competing reviews skip.
Anyone paying annually
The annual plan combines three terms that compound badly. Payments are non-refundable under §4 of the Terms of Service. Credits are "valid for two months," so a year of allowance cannot be banked. And per the FAQ, "You cannot switch from an annual plan until you have less than 10 credits left," which means you cannot downgrade out of a plan you are not using until you have burned nearly all of it. Buy monthly for at least two cycles.
Anyone whose workflow runs on Agent, Ad Flow, or Ad Clone
These are the features Creatify markets hardest and prices least. The vendor's own position is that consumption "cannot be determined upfront," and its own free-plan documentation warns that 10 credits will not finish a single session. You cannot forecast a media production budget against an undefined unit cost. If the Agent layer is why you are buying, you are buying the one part of the product with no price.
Anyone who needs refund protection
If your finance process requires the ability to reverse a bad month, this is the wrong vendor. The refund page and the contract both say payments are final. Nothing in the published record supports the expectation of a discretionary refund; the best a Trustpilot reviewer reports getting after a failed run is a credit-recovery form.
Regulated and claim-heavy advertisers
Creatify's Moderation Policy (opens in a new tab) prohibits "Unauthorized legal, medical, or financial advice," "Spreading misinformation, disinformation, or supporting conspiracy theories," and "Political campaigning or direct lobbying" (verified 2026-09-03). Under §6.2, a moderation breach terminates the agreement and your rights in the generated assets "revert to Creatify," with an obligation to cease use and destroy copies. For a supplements, fintech, health, or advocacy advertiser, that is a live risk attached to creative already running in market. Get counsel to read §6.1, §6.2, and the Moderation Policy before you scale spend.
Two softer disqualifiers: solo operators shipping one or two ads a month will not recover $39 against per-video freelance pricing, and anyone needing long-form or finely edited brand film is in the wrong category entirely.
Who is Creatify genuinely good for?
Creatify earns its price for one buyer: a performance team running high-variation creative testing on Meta or TikTok, using the standard Video Ad and Avatar Video tools, on Pro, billed monthly. In that lane the unit economics are real and the documentation is honest.
Pro drops the effective credit price to $0.33 and makes revisions free when script, avatar, and voice are unchanged, which suits variant testing where you swap footage rather than copy. The standard tools have a published rate you can budget against, Creatify advertises batch output of up to 50 variations in one run, and the company is well capitalized, which lowers the odds of the abrupt plan collapse this category has seen elsewhere.
Alternatives worth checking
HeyGen is the closest substitute if avatar fidelity and credit-policy clarity matter more than ad-specific tooling. Our side-by-side covers where the credit systems diverge.
Arcads targets the same paid-social buyer with a narrower feature set. Note that Arcads carries a materially worse third-party review profile — 2.7/5 across 170 Trustpilot reviews against Creatify's 3.9 across 825 (both verified 2026-09-03) — which is one of the few places Creatify wins on trust signals.
Billo is the real-human alternative rather than a cheaper AI one. If your creative needs a person demonstrating an actual product, no avatar tool substitutes, and the price gap narrows once Agent burn is counted.
Broader shortlist: best AI UGC video tools and the full pricing comparison.
Final verdict
6.2 / 10. Creatify is a well-funded product whose standard tools are priced clearly and cheaply and whose G2 reviewers rate it 4.8, sold under a billing system whose most-promoted features have no published unit cost and a contract with no refund path.
What it does well shows in the record: a help center that actually publishes its base credit rates, and a 93% five-star G2 distribution from buyers who got URL-to-video and the avatar library working. What it does badly is also real: four live contradictions across its own documentation, a Terms of Service dated September 23, 2024 that predates the entire agentic feature set, pricing-page FAQ answers absent from the served page, and an agentic layer the vendor declines to price.
If you ship 10 or more standard variations a month and can absorb a non-refundable $99, buy Pro monthly, stay on Video Ad and Avatar Video, and measure your own credit burn for two cycles before committing further. If you need the Agent tools, need refunds, advertise in a regulated category, or were about to click the annual toggle, the documented terms say don't.
FAQ
Does Creatify offer refunds?
No. Creatify's refund policy states that "payments are final and non-refundable," and §4 of the Terms of Service repeats it: "you will not receive a refund or credit for amounts already billed or paid" (refund policy (opens in a new tab), verified 2026-09-03). You can cancel to stop future renewals, and the subscription stays active until the end of the billing cycle.
Do Creatify credits roll over?
Partially. Creatify's FAQ states that monthly credits "are valid for two months, allowing you extra time to utilize them" (Help Center (opens in a new tab), verified 2026-09-03). That is a two-month expiry window, not indefinite rollover. Canceling moves you to the free plan, so any remaining balance is effectively abandoned.
How many credits does a Creatify video actually cost?
For Video Ad, Avatar Video, and AI Shorts, the published rate is 5 credits per 15 seconds rounded up, so a 30-second ad is 10 credits, or $3.90 on Starter. For Agent, Ad Flow, and Ad Clone, Creatify states consumption "is variable and cannot be determined upfront." Named Trustpilot reviewers report single outputs consuming 48 to 200 credits, one of them without producing a usable result.
Do you own the videos Creatify makes?
Mostly. §6.2 of the Terms of Service assigns you copyright in your original content, but conditions it: assets may not be used to train AI models, all use stays subject to the Moderation Policy, and a breach means rights "revert to Creatify" with an obligation to destroy copies. Creatify separately retains a "perpetual… irrevocable license" to your prompts and outputs, which §6.5 limits to what is "solely as necessary" to provide, promote and improve the Services and to comply with law.
Is Creatify better than Arcads or HeyGen?
On third-party trust signals Creatify rates higher than Arcads and comparably to HeyGen, but the three differ most on credit policy rather than output quality. Our Creatify vs HeyGen and Arcads vs Creatify pages compare the credit systems directly.

Credit-based system is the top user complaint: unused credits do not roll over month to month, per-video credit costs vary and are not always shown up front (one Trustpilot reviewer reported 89 credits for a single 15-second video), and multiple reviewers report refund refusals and difficult cancellation flows. Budget more credits than the plan minimums if you iterate on drafts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Creatify uses credit-based subscriptions: a free plan with 10 credits/month (watermarked), Starter at $39/mo with 100 credits, Pro at $99/mo with 300 credits and custom avatars, and custom Enterprise pricing. Annual billing is advertised at up to 50% off. Credits do not roll over between months.
No. Creatify generates UGC-style videos using AI avatars, synthetic voiceovers, and auto-written scripts. If you need real humans filming your product, a creator marketplace like Billo or Insense is the better fit.
Yes, there is a permanent free plan with 10 credits per month, enough for roughly 2 video ads or 20 image ads. Free-plan videos carry a Creatify watermark; watermark removal starts on the $39/mo Starter plan.
That is its core use case: it produces short UGC-style avatar ads sized for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snap, and Amazon, and its batch mode outputs up to 50 variations for creative testing. Creatify claims customers see 2.7x more leads versus static image ads, though that is a vendor claim.
Trustpilot reviewers (4.0/5, 824 reviews) most often cite opaque credit consumption, refund refusals, a difficult cancellation flow, and inconsistent output quality such as lip-sync and voice errors. G2 reviewers (4.8/5) are much more positive but also mention credits running out quickly.
Creatify Labs was founded in 2023 by ex-Meta and Snap engineers Yinan Na, Ledell Wu, and Xin Zhou, and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. It has raised $23M total, including a $15.5M Series A co-led by WndrCo and Kindred Ventures, and reported crossing $9M ARR.
