"UGC creator platform" is searched by two people with opposite jobs: a brand hiring someone to film its product, and a creator looking for work. Everything below is the first job. Creator-side economics appear only where they change your invoice. Every figure below carries its source: a platform's own pricing page, help center or terms where one exists, and a labelled third party where it does not.
Collabstr and Youdji are browse-and-hire: you open profiles and pick the creator yourself. Collabstr lists each creator's rate but only opens messaging after you order; Youdji publishes no rate card, so every order is negotiated. How to find UGC creators covers the vetting either route leaves to you. Billo, Insense, JoinBrands, Influee, and Twirl run on applications — you post a brief and creators apply. Insense states applications arrive inside 48 hours; Twirl's managed tiers select outright.
That decides how much labor stays with you. Browsing means you do the engagement check: Collabstr verifies creator accounts before they can list services, but reviewers report creators with inflated follower counts. Applications mean the platform filters first — Influee claims a top-3% acceptance rate, Billo and Twirl call their pools pre-vetted — and you work from someone else's shortlist.
| Platform | Roster claim | Markets covered |
|---|
| JoinBrands | "4 Million Creators" (homepage) | 5 marketplaces: US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany |
| Collabstr | 1.2M+ vetted profiles | International; no country count published |
| Influee | 150,000+ vetted (claimed top 3% of applicants) | 30+ countries, 65-language subtitles |
| Insense | 100,000+ | 35+ countries |
| Youdji | 11,300+ verified | 10+ countries, 45+ languages; France-heavy |
| Twirl | 7,000+ vetted | UK, US, Europe |
| Billo | 5,000+ vetted | US, UK, Canada, Australia |
None is audited, and none measures the same thing: JoinBrands' four million counts registered users across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Amazon, while Billo's five thousand describes people who cleared a vetting step. A roster claim bounds how many accounts exist, not how many answer your brief. Treat them as the platforms do: JoinBrands' homepage says "Trusted by 100,000+ brands" in the header and "Trusted by 30K+ Brands" in the testimonials below, and Influee's 150,000 sits alongside an independent review footprint of one G2 review and a Trustpilot profile with none.
Country coverage constrains you far more than roster size. JoinBrands runs five marketplaces, with TikTok Shop Video and Live US-only and no route to native-language creators in Southern Europe, Latin America or Southeast Asia. Needing Polish, Italian or Spanish creators cuts the seven to Influee, Youdji, Insense and Twirl before price enters it.
| Platform | What is listed | What is added before you are done |
|---|
| Collabstr | Creator's own rate; average collaboration $154, ~80% under $300 | 10% buyer fee (5% on $399/mo Premium); creators pay another 15% on payout — a combined take near 25% |
| JoinBrands | "UGC Videos $25+" | Help center floor of $50, US builder pre-filled at $60; 8–15% platform fee; product cost; 10% US sales tax on reimbursement; 3.5% card fee |
| Youdji | $0 subscription, 0% brand commission | The creator's negotiated rate — site examples run ~$50 raw footage to ~$350 per video, plus $150 for ads rights. Creators pay 20%, priced into their quotes |
| Influee | $229/mo Starter (10 collaborations) | Creator fees of $26–$70+ per 30-second video ($58 average US) plus a flat 10% marketplace fee |
| Insense | $400/mo Brand plan, billed annually | $500/mo quarterly; no monthly option. 7–20% marketplace fee on every creator payment, creator fees separate. Third-party estimates put all-in spend at $2,000+/mo |
| Twirl | $325 per video (£240 / €280) | 4-video minimum on a first order, about $1,300; hook and CTA variations $80 each, lifestyle images $60 |
| Billo | Nothing, on Billo's own site | billo.app/pricing 301-redirects to a login. The repeated $99 traces to a Capterra listing; G2 data shows packs from $500 to $30,000 |
JoinBrands' $25 headline is reachable only through Blast bundles that require volume up front and are non-refundable; for one classic UGC video its help center publishes the rule as min(default, $50). Collabstr's $299/mo Pro plan buys campaigns and analytics but no fee cut at all. Both read differently against the entry price of the 35 platforms that benchmark covers.
Where sources disagree, we say so. Billo's Brand Terms §5.2 expire prepaid packs twelve months after purchase and make the unused portion "non-redeemable," while its help center says an unused balance stays refundable minus a 25% administration fee — two documents, two answers, one of which you signed. Influee's pricing page lists USD tiers of $229/$529/$999 while third-party reviews cite EUR tiers of €199/€399/€749. Twirl's volume discounts, roughly $275 per video at ten and $230 at thirty, come from a competitor's comparison article, not Twirl's site.
If your plan is to find two or three good creators and keep them, read the anti-circumvention terms before the rate card. Collabstr's ToS §3 binds a brand and creator introduced through the platform to use it as "their exclusive method to transact with the other" for eighteen months from their first order. Insense's creator terms go further: campaign content "will only be amplified or licensed exclusively through Insense during and after the term of these Terms of Service." If that lock is disqualifying, start from platforms without an anti-circumvention clause.
Neither appears on either pricing page, and both change the arithmetic: a fee you accept for one test compounds on the creator you want to keep. We quote no equivalent lock for the other five, which is not proof none exists.
Ownership transfers to you. Billo's Brand Terms §8.1 assign the creator's rights worldwide for the full duration of copyright, automatically on approval and at no extra fee — though §8.4 grants Billo a perpetual license back over the same files to promote its platform. JoinBrands' ToS §3.4.1 transfers all rights on full payment, with unlimited usage plus TikTok Spark and Instagram Partnership Ad codes included, and no right to use the content before payment clears.
A perpetual license, scoped by channel. Insense grants a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable license for the "sole purpose of organic and paid use on digital marketing and/or connected TV (CTV) channels" — creators keep copyright, and broadcast TV, print and out-of-home are named nowhere, at no published price. Influee's license is likewise worldwide and perpetual but excludes print and out-of-home, which need a separate agreement. Twirl bundles a license for organic social, paid social, website and email into the per-video price.
Nothing, by default. Collabstr's ToS §11 is the trap: unless the order transfers content rights, you get a limited license to use the deliverable "solely for the purpose of approving" it. Youdji negotiates rights per order, pricing ads rights at about $150 in its site examples.
If a catalog, a billboard or a linear TV cut is anywhere in your plan, only Billo and JoinBrands get you there on base terms. The rest rent you a named set of channels; which channels a licence actually covers varies more between platforms than the price does.
You need a guaranteed date. Collabstr commits to no turnaround; its knowledge base only describes most product-shipped orders finishing inside 14 days. Billo quotes 7–12 days after the creator receives your product, JoinBrands 10, Insense about 14, Influee 7–10, Twirl 14; Youdji's under-one-week figure is self-reported. Shipping sits on top.
Your approvals run through a chain. Collabstr's review period is 72 hours from submission, after which the order auto-approves and the refund right is waived. JoinBrands auto-approves at 10 days, with one revision on the free plan. A reviewer on vacation is contractually an acceptance.
You are spending $300 once. Insense and Influee bill a subscription floor before you order anything.
You want reach, not files. These platforms sell footage and a license; distribution is a separate purchase, and reviewers note that creator location does not guarantee audience location.
Before the first order, get three things in writing: the usage rights and the channels they cover, the length of your review window, and what it costs to hire the same creator next quarter.
